DON'T DIS MY ABILITY: Saturday 16th December 2017 to Sunday 7th January 2018 at our Lake Street Gallery
Dear Artist, Crafter, Woodie or Ceramicist
Great Lakes Art Society in co-ordination with its Art Care Plus group would like to invite all disabled artists in whatever your medium of choice is to participate in Don't Dis My Ability.

The aim of this exhibition is to showcase the artwork of all artists who struggle with the day to day problems associated with their disability. This exhibition will showcase to the general public, our families and friends the work that we can do. No able bodied person can ever fully appreciate the trials, the pain or the frustration involved to produce our work.

Often our work is judged and compared to work of able bodied artist. This exhibition will provide a non judgmental platform to display our work. Entry is $5.00 per item with $2.00 going to Great Lakes Art Society for hanging and displaying our work. The remainder will go into a prize pool to be divided equally between an artists voted best in show, only participants of the exhibition are allowed to vote in this category, also a public choice category will be avaliable. So get your friends and family to vote for your work.

It doesn't matter what level artist you are or what level you feel your art work is at. All our art is good and it needs to be exhibited if only to show the general public what can be achieved by us. The production of our art stimulates our whole being.

Let's show what we can achieve..
